A good general fun website – be prepared to surf! (with an American bias). From the site:

A NASA site dedicated to kids of all ages. Lots of fun stuff to do with space.
National Geographic Kids

BBC Webwise
Easy to understand tips and information for newcomers to the internet. Includes an online beginners' course, questions and answers section and a BBC guide to using a computer.
